Your Consultant
Hi, my name is Monique van Maanen.
A self declared 'cat obsessive', I have many years of experience applying feline behaviour knowledge in order to help countless cat caregivers troubleshoot and resolve common cat behaviour problems. Seeing firsthand the positive impact that well applied feline behaviour knowledge can make, and recognising a deep need for cat owners to be better supported to constructively and effectively work through behaviour problems, I decided to make helping cats my career by formally training in feline behaviour- graduating from the Feline Behaviour Science and Technology program with a level of mastery from the well regarded Companion Animal Science Institute.
I am a professional member of the Pet Professional Guild of Australia, supporting member of the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants, and work/volunteer across the country helping cats and and their caregivers to live more harmoniously together.
My focus is on seeking to understand and address the root cause of behaviour issues, whilst providing my clients with the support, tools and resources they need to effectively manage their feline behaviour concerns.
